Duty free haul

So I haven't blogged for ages now, I was so busy running up to my holiday that I just couldn't find time to write any!!
I went to Tunisia for the second time with my boyfriend and once again it was amazing!!
We went to a place called port el kantaoui and stayed at the royal kenz hotel and this was our lovely view!
Anyway down to the business. So everyone loves duty free wether its just having a look round or having a bit of a splurge, now duty free doesn't save you as much as it used to but I still saved about £20 with the things I brought.

Ive never tried any benefit products before and have always wanted to so I thought this was the perfect time to try it out!
So I was browsing around looking at things I've seen on other blogs but it was all stuff I thought I'll never use, then I came across the eye brightening stuff and my eyes lit up!
So I picked up the eye bright pencil first. It's a pale pink colour that they advise you to apply in the inner and outer corner of your eyes, but I just apply in light strokes to the bottom of my eye and the inner corner and blend around the eye area, its also really good for highlighting so i applied a bit on my brow bone aswell, it does what it says on the 'tin' basically, it instantly brightens your eye area getting rid of the dark circles i hate so much! Do be careful though and apply it lightly and if you need more use more, as a little goes along way and you don't want to look like you have panda eyes!

I then found boi-ing industrial strength concealer. My new favourite thing ever! You can use this over the eye bright pencil or by it self, as it says its industrial strength so again a little goes along way, which Is one reason why I love it, as its small and I was worried that I wasn't going to get my money worth, but I can see it lasting ages. I used a brush with this as my nails are long at the moment so I can't blend round the inner corner of my eyes with my fingers yet. The brush works fine though and I kind of prefer using a brush to be honest. It covers perfectly and stayed put on my holiday even when I was in and out of the pool so much. Defiantly the perfect holiday essential for me.

Now I thought I was done after that but I started looking at eyebrow things, as I've got quite sparse eyebrows I've used lots of different eyebrow products and companies, powders, pencils, all sorts! I was playing around with the testers, trying to find something slightly waterproof. I came across the instant brow pencil. Testing it on my hand and my way of testing if it was waterproof was licking my finger and rubbing over it, seemed to work and it didn't look like it was going to budge. So the first day  of the holiday, I tried it out. You feather it on lightly and it does give a good effect and still quite natural so I thought so good so far. It also has a brush on the other end to help brush those strays into place. After going in the pool realised it wasn't quite as water proof as I thought! Then again it never said it was waterproof i just assumed with my really good way of testing waterproof  things! The pencil does ware down quite easily so I found I was sharpening it a lot, and if you using it a bit heavy handed it does look a bit waxy on the brows but all in all I do like this product and will continue to use it.

Beauty on a budget doesn't have to be rubbish!

This is my favourite ever part of my make up bag! Now,  I suffer with constant dark circles under my eyes, regardless of how much sleep I get, that would be thanks to my Indian heritage!
I have tried everything under the sun to cover them as I am very conscious of them. I used to go through Yves St Laurent touché éclat like nobodies business! Not being the cheapest product on the market, my obsession was getting a little bit to expensive and I never felt it really was all that great, thought I'd look for a cheaper alternative. I'm saving for a house, holidays, car insurance and the list goes on so I'm always looking for a cheaper alternative for everything.
I've tried many concealers, highlighting products etc and have always come back to one product. Aldi's Lacura concealer pen! At a teeny tiny price of £3.59 I find myself buying it in bulk as I'm so worried they'll discontinue it, I don't know why they would because its just so ace!
It works in the same way as touché éclat using light reflecting micro pigments to banish those shadows, fine lines and wrinkles, but it gives better coverage than the touché éclat so I can use it to cover any other blemishes that may be lurking around my face. I've even used it to conceal bruises on my legs. It also has what they call 'natural moisturising factors' which help keep the delicate skin around your eyes soft and supple and doesn't dry the skin out, which I used to hate about other brands!  Your supposed to dot it around the eye area, but I must admit i just kind of draw it on in strokes and dab to blend. I never have a problem with those tell tell white panda eyes, definitely the best concealer I've ever used, and I may cry a little if they ever discontinue it! I will still be testing many concealers out in the future though as technology these days is always making bigger and better things!
Shade: amber(yes I sat on the box!)
